Systems
We operate to mature and established integrated QHSE management systems certified to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.
Although our systems have been in place and certified for the past 8 years they have evolved in response to legislative, operational and client driven needs to remain effective tools to drive quality, safety and environmental performance improvement across all aspects of our business.
People
We employ a trained and experienced workforce who have regularly performed to meet all client specific requirements.
Our workforce are versatile and flexible and have demonstrated their ability to adapt and respond quickly to changes in client requirements or project demands without compromising safety or performance.
Our training and development plan has been developed to ensure competence requirements are met in all aspects of our operation.
Equipment
We operate modern, well maintained machinery designed specifically to segregate, handle and process redundant structures, scrap metal and mixed wastes with minimal risk to operators and bystanders.
With our trained operators we safely extract the maximum operating performance for the equipment to improve our efficiency and effectiveness.
Our heavy duty mobile balers and shears are able to size-reduce material for cost effective shipping to final destination saving on transport cost, environmental emissions and maximising your return.
Site
We operate a 0.9 hectare fully licensed hazardous waste transfer and treatment close to the quayside delivery and shipping areas. The site is securely fenced and all process areas are concreted and drained via interceptor to prevent release of water borne contaminants to the marine environment.
Any non-conforming materials are identified on delivery to the site and either rejected or held in secure storage pending appropriate disposal.
Our site is regularly inspected by SEPA and we have been able to demonstrate continual compliance with all license conditions.
Access to the site is controlled and via a 50 tonne weighbridge adjacent to the entrance and site office. We use computerised material logging to track incoming and outgoing materials.
Our warehouse areas are used for segregation and processing of non-ferrous materials and WEEE and we also have covered segregation and storage areas for materials intended for re-use.
